Recipe tips
You can use any kind of hard cheese, instead of Romanian kashkaval.
1. Boil the spaghetti in salty water, then dry.

2. Prepare a bechamel sauce with butter, flour, milk and yellow cheese. Season with salt and white pepper.

3. Finely chop or mince the cured ham and fry in hot oil. Add wild marjoram and black pepper. When ready, mix with the spaghetti, then pour the bechamel sauce on top.

4. Serve warm with grated cheese or pieces of cheese on top.

Variations
Carbonara with eggs
Fry the cured ham in hot oil, add wild marjoram and black pepper. Then remove from the fire and add 2 eggs. Mix well, then add to the spaghetti.
Serve warm with grated cheese on top.
